Stephen “Steve” Lee Eastwood, 27, of Riverside, formerly of Solon, died Monday, September 17, 2018. A celebration of life gathering will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon, located at 100 South Cedar Street.
Stephen was born February 28, 1991 in Iowa City, the son of Brian Eastwood. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, fishing and working on vehicles. Steve was employed at Centro Inc. in North Liberty.
Steve is survived by his dad, Brian of Hills; fiancé Olivia Widdel of Riverside; his brother Seth Eastwood of Hills; his grandparents Jan and Loyd Koopman of Iowa City and Leo Eastwood of Solon; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda, and his best friend B.J. Smith.

As one of Steve's former teachers I am deeply saddened to hear this news. I enjoyed having him in my class. I will always remember his smile and sense of humor. I will miss his visits to the middle school and the chats we had.

I am sorry about Steve. When my kids were little my son lost his game boy on the way to school Steve found it and turned it in to the school. I was always impressed by that kind gesture
