To know Steve is to have an affection for Steve. He was authentic and curious and warm . Whenever I had the pleasure of being at the ranch and sharing meals with he and Heather or chatting when he came in and out from working in the barn.. .. he always made me feel welcome and liked to make a personal connection. I had the privilege of spending time at Fountainhead, learning about his passion for horses, and even having a VIP tour of the ranch.

The news of Steve's death has shocked me and left me heart broken. We would send political and funny texts back and forth weekly. He had just sent me a text and I hadn't had time to reply before I heard about his death.
He had the greatest sense of humor which everyone will miss. My heart goes out to his family.

Though we only met briefly in Shanghai, I've always admired your leadership and compassion you bring to our company. Had the great opportunity to spend time with Steve a couple of times while visiting Fountainhead. Great spirit and wit. Will be greatly missed.

Steve became a part of our Castle Rock Chevrolet GMC family and will be greatly missed. From sharing stories of horses to trucks to everyday life, he always had a contagious positive energy in a sometimes-dark world. There are no words to express how much he meant to all of our employees, and what he did to brighten their day. He always made time to talk to everyone, addressing them by their first names, and talked to them like family. His patience was something that should be modeled after in life. Not seeing Steve here will leave a forever hole in our hearts. Thank you for allowing us in your life.

This is all so hard to believe... my heart aches for Heather and all who loved him. Steve was so full of life and always made me laugh.
