This is such sad news! God bless Steve´s family! Steve was a fantastic guy! So many students learned from him! He had so much knowledge about Horses and riding! He worked very hard and was very talented! This is a tragic loss to not only Heather, family, friends, students, but also the horse industry! I loved to talk horse with Steve. I loved to watch him ride, and I had a lot of fun going and visiting Heather and Steve in Delaware with my boyfriend at the time! We had a lot of fun riding! Steve, May you fly with the angels, and have all the best Horses you desire! Until next time, God bless!

Had the great opportunity to spend time with Steve a couple of times while visiting Fountainhead. Great spirit and wit. Will be greatly missed.

Steve became a part of our Castle Rock Chevrolet GMC family and will be greatly missed. From sharing stories of horses to trucks to everyday life, he always had a contagious positive energy in a sometimes-dark world. There are no words to express how much he meant to all of our employees, and what he did to brighten their day. He always made time to talk to everyone, addressing them by their first names, and talked to them like family. His patience was something that should be modeled after in life. Not seeing Steve here will leave a forever hole in our hearts. Thank you for allowing us in your life.

While I never knew Steve, the words written in his obituary and words shared by the company I work for, Humanscale, he sounds like my kind of people. I´m so sorry for your families loss and for all the animals, friends and neighbors whose lives he touched.

Steve will be deeply missed by many. Over the past 23 years at Humanscale, I had the pleasure of meeting him on several occasions, including a few memorable times at Fountainhead. He was a natural storyteller-his tales were always engaging, and his passion for sharing them was unmistakable.
My heart goes out to everyone whose lives he touched. I will always remember the kindness he showed me and the warmth of his infectious smile.
Godspeed, Steve. You leave behind a legacy of generosity, joy, and unforgettable stories.

This is all so hard to believe... my heart aches for Heather and all who loved him. Steve was so full of life and always made me laugh. I am so glad we were blessed to see him in June to celebrate his mother's 90th birthday. He will forever be in our hearts and memories. May he rest in peace. And, Heather, may you find some peace and comfort in all the love you shared. That lasts forever.
Love all-ways,
Donna and Dave Decker
