While it has not been among my several pleasures with respect to the Gilligan clan to meet Stephen, I have greatly enjoyed the privilege to know his splendid parents and some of his siblings and extended family.
The Gilligans have been long-time members of my faith community, the Church of Christ the King, here in Southwest Minneapolis, and graduates of my high-school alma mater, Benilde.
I am especially fond of Stephen's Dad, Pete, whose shanachie's sharing of several, several stories of his family life and career have been a true benison. He, along with Stephen and all the Gilligans are in my heart and meditation today. God bless and keep you all.

To Steve's family: I pray that God will give you strength as you go thru this difficult time. I wanted to extend my condolances to all of you. I was a school classmate and graduated from Edina with Steve in 1970. God Bless
