Kelly, Stephen Edward born on November 15, 1930, passed away on February 11, 2002, youngest son of the late Mayor Edward J. and Margaret Kelly, lost a courageous 2 year battle with cancer on Monday, February 11. After graduating from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, Steve served in the Air Force. His professional career included postions as Assistant Director Special Events for the City of Chicago and Public Information Office for the Chicago Park District from where he retired in 1997. Steve was predeceased by twin siblings, Joseph M. and Patricia A. Kelly. He is survived by loving wife, Lucy Ann (Sheehy) Kelly, daughter, Maggie (Michael) Crane, grandchildren, Michael, Tommy, William, Jimmy and Jack Crane, nephews, Michael and Peter and niece, Patricia Kelly, many sisters and brothers-in-law as well as other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, at 544 W. 31st St. and a Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Name Cathedral on Friday, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to: Maryville City of Youth, 1150 N.
