People are remembered for the dash in their life. All to often that dash takes friends in different directions seeking different dreams and goals and we forget about the time we spent in that dash with that friend until it is to late. Steve took advantage of the dash and touched those that he met in his own way. He lived life to the fullest and will be missed by many. My time in his dash will not be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with Steve, his family and friends. The checkered flag is yours buddy.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. Steve's dad was my first cousin - I hadn't seen "young Steve" in years but do remember his sweet smiling face and the chat we had at his grandmother's funeral some 17 years ago. My sympathy and prayers to his loving family. Dot Garry (Kowalski)

Dear Family of Steve John,

Sorry to hear of Steve's death. He should have had more time to spend on this earth. I know he suffered much in his short life. I'm sure he is at peace with the Lord and I know he will be missed.

Diane and Doreen.
Sue and I were so shocked to hear the news of Steve’s passing. Steve and I were like brothers in our youth. We fished, trapped; snowmobile or nagged mom’s just for a weekend sleep out. Time sent us in different direction but the memories still remain.

I will be in town for a graduation next weekend and will stop in.

Lynette, your Dad told us all here back home about Steve's passing and I just read it in our local paper. I'm so sorry you had to endure this tragedy at such an early age and with all your own medical problems as well. I too lost my husband at the age of 44 of heart trouble and I can relate as to how you must feel. Please take care of yourself and Elizabeth. Love Gracie & family
