Happy heavenly birthday, Steve. I remember you as a very involved and mature student during the 3 years I was at PHS. May your family continue to find comfort in God's promises in this time of temporary separation-- in Jesus's name. Amen.

My thoughts are with the Pugh family as I recall so many memories of hilarious memories with Stevie in high school and later with Liz. He will be sorely missed.

My condolences to Steve's family. I have fond memories of him and Liz shopping at mine and my husband's store, the Tic-Tock Shoppe in Hammond, for the boys. He always enjoyed good conversation with Joseph and I while shopping. God's blessings and comfort to his family.

When my daughter, Alyssa, first told me about the wonderful young man she had met, Chris, she also included praise for his parents. When I met Liz and Steve I was so impressed with their friendly nature. I knew this was a special family. As Steve and I bonded over sharing grandkids, I felt very blessed. Steve impressed me with his dedication to his community. His pride in Ponchatoula and his love of state government was easy to see. I will miss our chats at family gatherings and his smile and wit. I will join Chris and Alyssa in efforts to make sure those grandkids know they had a grandfather and a grandmother that leave a special legacy in their community. Above all I thank Steve for my son -in -law Chris. They raised him well, and I know they loved their sons so much. Steve was a handsome gentleman who represented his family and his community so well. He was also a man of faith and loved his God. May he Rest In Peace.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've got great memories of Steve back when our sons played sports together in Ponchatoula. I'm sad to hear of his passing but inspired to know how faithful he was to God, his family, community and state.
May God bless you.

Steve was one of a kind. He was funny and kind. Even though I have moved away I had times when I ran into him when I was in town. I am so glad I get to see him when my mom was dying and he came to house to see her. They had a long history together. She always made him a diabetic birthday cake when he was younger. Then they worked on wedding together my Mom making the cakes and Steve doing the flowers. She would let him know if it did not look the way she wanted on her cakes. May prayers are with Stephen and Chris and all of Steve family and friends. He will leave a void for a lot of people.
