July 9,1956 - July 30, 2014
Steve Duffy, 58 of Pensacola, passed away suddenly at his home on July 30, 2014. Steve graduated from Woodham High School and went to work for Otis Engineering. He had a passion for racing and started his own business "Duffy's Performance". He also was crew chief for Ronnie Coutour's race team. He was well loved in the racing community and had a multitude of "race buddies".
He was preceded in death by his father Walter H Duffy, mother Fay Duffy, brother Tim Duffy and brother Walter (Bubba) Duffy Jr.
He is survived by his son Brian (Danielle) Duffy, daughters Stephanie Duffy (Chuck), Darlene Sedillo and Tonya Sedillo. His grandchildren Cameron, Hannah, Chloe, Bailee, Nathan, Braelyn, Jaxon, Davante, Thailand, Jazmin and Jordan. His best friend Angela Sedillo as well. His brother Greg Duffy and his sisters Francene (Philip) Russell and Susan Wilson. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Saturday August 2, 2024 at Eastern Gate Funeral Home,1985 West Nine Mile Road Pensacola. Services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, August, 3, 2014 at Eastern Gate Funeral Home with interment to follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you send donations to help with the funeral expenses for the benefit of Stephen Duffy at PenAirFCU

I knew Steve since Ferry Pass Elem...saw him not too long ago...
he worked on my motor a few times when i was driving out at 5 Flags...
always liked Steve...so sorry for the Duffy Family. Too young to leave us...

OMG i saw steve at the races last friday and he just finished a motor for me !!!! i am so sorry for your loss the whole racing community has lost. steve was a great person and i know you will miss him, because i will be there with you.

Our prayers and thoughts are with the family of Steve Duffy. He was hard worker and loved working on race cars as well as building racing engines. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him at the race track.

Steve has been apart of mine and my family racing career for alot of years. To my knowledge no one else has built a engine for us since we started mud racing over 15 years ago. We hardly ever had any problems and if we did he was a phone call away and always went out of his way to help. Fly high Steve you will be missed ol buddy. Chuck, Jr. Benton
