Stephen “Steve” Clennan, 68, of New Braunfels, Texas passed away, surrounded by family on November 11, 2022, after a lengthy battle fighting cancer. He was born on March 1, 1954, to Joseph and Gloria (Schnautz) Clennan. He was a graduate of New Braunfels High School and a lifetime resident of New Braunfels.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Clennan, and parents Joe and Gloria Clennan.
Steve leaves behind his wife, and best friend of 20 years, Glenda Alexander. Children: Brian Clennan (Alicia), Shawn Clennan (Rosavel), Amanda Tittle, Brittany Tittle-Wellborn (Jereme), Crystal Collins (Frank), Michael Alexander (Brandy), Angie Fox (Aaron). Grandchildren: Joshua, Trisha, Arthur, Brayden, Mason, Sailor, Brylei, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Michael, Amy, Marissa, Daniel, Josh, Jonathan, Jacob, Allen, and many great grandchildren.
Steve was a loving husband, father, pawpaw, and friend amongst many. Known as a hard worker to anyone who knew him. He spent a good portion of his career working as a truck driver. 26 of those years were dedicated to working for the Comal County Road Department, where he retired. Never a man to just “sit around”, he almost immediately came out of retirement where he then began his next journey, 12 years ago, working for Ingram Ready-mix. Steve had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed riding his Harley around town. Spending the weekends with his wife, children and grandchildren was something he lived for. He loved hitting the road and taking trips to the casino, attending his grandchildren's functions, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
A Memorial Service will be held at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 2:00 PM.
