Sterling C. Wade

Sterling C. Wade, 76, of Rising Sun, MD went to be with his Lord Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. Born February 28, 1940 in Switchback, WV, Sterling was the son of the late Frank Robert Wade and the late Virginia Mae (Dillon) Wade. Sterling retired from the Chrysler Corporation after 31 years as a quality control tech. He also worked for Securitas Security Services U.S. A for 10 yrs. He loved fishing and cherished the time spent with his wonderful wife and family. Sterling is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia Wade; four daughters, Sherry Knight, Pamela Anderson and her husband, Chuck, Dawn Webb and her husband, Raymond, and Belinda Saylor and her husband, Steven; 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Lawson. Including his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Frank Wade Jr. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Saturday June 11, 2016 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911. A service will be held at 2pm on June 12, 2016 at the funeral home where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the Harvest Pentecostal Church and sent in care of the funeral home. The family wishes to thank Seasons Hospice for all of their care.
