Steve Adams Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 6, 2024.
Edmund Stevens Adams Jr., 83, of Paso Robles, California, passed away on April 15, 2024. He was born on April 13, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio.

Steve, known for his creativity, intelligence, and sensitivity, was a devoted husband, father, and a respected leader in both his professional and personal life. He was a thoughtful and witty individual whose faith in Jesus Christ brought him immense hope and joy.

After graduating from Purdue University, Steve pursued a corporate career, working for Ford and IBM briefly, before venturing into entrepreneurship with a partner, focusing on computerizing medical and dental billing systems. This endeavor moved the family to Redmond Washington, where a significant personal encounter with Jesus Christ motivated a career change. Steve and Lana entered into retail business, purchasing Evangel Christian Bookstores in Western Washington, where he found fulfillment in helping others with their spiritual journey. While living in Washington, Steve was a dedicated member of Westminster Chapel, in Bellevue, serving as a deacon and elder.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Lana H. Adams, his daughters Molly ZagRodny, Amy Blain, their husbands David ZagRodny and Jeff Blain, and 5 grandchildren Stephen ZagRodny, Kathryn ZagRodny, Michaela Blain, Nathan Blain, and Haley Blain. He is also remembered by his sister's children, Michael Morrison and Christy Ramos, and their families.

A Celebration of Steve's Life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Paso Robles Bible Church, 2206 Golden Hill Road, Paso Robles, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Steve's honor can be made to Paso Robles Bible Church, where he has worshiped and served since moving to California in 2005.

Steve's sense of humor, his gentleness, his love of music, along with stories of playing trombone in the Purdue Marching Band and sailing Puget Sound with his family, will be cherished. His legacy as a dedicated family man, successful businessman, and faithful servant of God will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
