Steve Brock, 57, lifelong resident of Littlefield went to be with his Lord on Monday, January 3, 2022 in Littlefield. He was born to Ruben “Sonny” Brock Jr. and Kathy (Coward) Brock on December 18, 1964 in Littlefield, Texas.
Steve graduated from Littlefield High School with the class of 1983. He married Stephanie Diersing on July 10, 1987 in Littlefield. He was a farmer in Lamb County, and farmed his whole life, starting when he was young. He formed Sunny Shine Inc. on March 31, 1987 with his dad which he still operated, and truly loved farming and agriculture. He also was active with 4-H and served as an adult leader and ran the concession stand during stock shows, cooking uncountable numbers of hamburgers over the years. Steve loved being outdoors, riding his Harley, and covered many miles on his motorcycle, including a trip to Sturgis. He was a master cook, and an avid Nascar fan. He had many memorable trips to Texas Motor Speedway with his friends. He was also a die hard Texas Tech fan. Steve was a simple man, who was often seen in his camo jacket, his cap and his signature sunglasses that he always had on. He never hesitated to step up when someone was in need of help and was a people person. He never met a stranger, and those who knew him knew Steve could talk to anyone for hours, about anything. Most of all, he loved being a “Pops” to his grandchildren, and even built a pond for them on his land, so they could make memories spending time together and fishing there.
Steve is survived by his wife Stephanie Brock of Littlefield; a daughter, Courtney Nolte and husband Finus of Midland; a son, Clay Brock and fiancée Kylie of Lubbock; three grandchildren that he adores, Aydenn, Ryker and Blakely; his mom, Kathy Brock of Littlefield; two sisters, Sheri Tooley of Littlefield and Michelle Orozco and husband Jose of Plano; and other extended family members and countless friends.
Celebration of Life services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday January 7, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Littlefield with Pastor Tanner Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday night at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Pendergrass, Bobby Kauffman, Cody Kauffman, Mark Matthews, Johnny Crouch and Josh Pyle. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to a charity of your choice in Steve’s memory. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.

To the Brock family my deepest condolences. Steve was a very helpful man. When I was Courtney and Clay's bus driver he pulled my bus out of the mud many times. He was always smiling and never hesitated to help. This family has a very special place in my heart. Fly with the Angels friend.

Stephanie, my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I first met Steve over thirty years ago when I began working on the equipment for him and little did I realize how our friendship would grow. Anytime he had a question about something or just needed some reassurance about something being repaired, he would ask me what I thought..... that alone made me feel important about the mutual respect we had for each other. I'm really gonna miss those phone calls from him. God Bless him for being a friend to us all. May God keep you and your family and help you through this difficult time. Please let us know if we can be of any help. Always Billy Joe Mojica - HFS- Lubbock .

I'm almost at a loss for words, my heart's just so broken for all of you. Steve was always so good to me & helped any way he could when I worked at the Extension office...I loved hearing his Stockshow stories, his pride in Coutney & Clay and his deep love for his "Steph". He's already missed. I love you guys & will continue to keep you in my prayers, now & in the hard days to come.
