I just heard baout htis and am shocked and saddened. I met Steve back in 2009 when he before he officially worked with the guys when they were on WNEW, and when he began the Foundry.com site when he moved to NJ. He was a good friend of my band back then, and did his best to help promote us. Even though I have not talked/seen him in at least 8 years, he still was cool and remembered me when I ran into him once.....A great guy, and a great loss. My condolences to his family.

My favorite Steve memory was when I was an O&A blogger for the Foundry website, and one time I called in and let's just say it was not necessarily "worst of" material. Concerned about someone representing Foundry having a forgettable moment, Steve sent an uplifting email, with a subject line I will never forget: "Don't make me break out the yardstick on you, boy."
RIP Steve. Only the good die young.

Sincere condolences to Steve's entire family. As a co-worker and friend for many years at WNEW-FM, I have missed our daily workplace conversations for the last few years. He was a funny and good man all the way around and always got the job done no matter how many distractions were thrown his way; a true professional, a rare breed these days. He will always be one of the most important and good people I have ever worked with and I am truly grateful to have known him.
