Steve Cornell Obituary
Steve Cornell, age 68, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Highland, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife Donna (Crne), son Steven (Trisha) Cornell, daughter Kristin (Brennan) Blake, and grandchildren Rowan and Arden Cornell all of Arizona, brother Mark (Laurie) Cornell and sisters-in-law Carol Petersen and Nancy (Ed) Mackowiak. Preceded in death by his parents Marlin and Bonnie Cornell and in-laws Ed and Marlene Crne.
Steve graduated from Highland High School, class of '74, where he played basketball and baseball and met his high school sweetheart, Donna. They were married in 1976 and shared 48 years together. After owning his own concrete business, he moved his family to Arizona in 1984. Steve continued his passion for construction by owning his own excavation company. His skills allowed him to proudly build the family home in Mesa. After retirement, Steve enjoyed helping his children with their own home projects.
Steve converted to Catholicism in 1985 and was a member of Holy Cross Church.
Sadly, Steve spent the last years of his life living with dementia. He will be remembered as a wonderful son, husband, and father.

I just stopped by to see you Steve and I realized that you didn´t live there anymore. I´m gonna miss you Steve. You´re a very dear friend and I thought very highly of you we had a lot of good times working together golfing and drinking a beer or two see you in heaven

Steve was a wonderful brother-in-law. He always helped me when I needed something repaired. We had some good laughs together. I will miss him deeply.
