STEPHEN HUGH MURRAY was born in Cincinnati, OH to Hugh J Murray (d.2004) and Virginia M McPhillips (d.2007). Steve was dear to many. Husband to Amy Reading (m.1978), father to Colin, Jonathan and Madeline; brother to Kenneth (Cristy) and Hugh (d.1972) Murray, Jennifer (John) Birkenshaw and Janet (David) Janes; brother-in-law to Susan and Douglas (d.1997) Reading and Janie (Bryan) Conroy; uncle to Justin, Meagan, Jason, Sean, Caitlin and Seth; forever friend to Brian O'Donnell and Mike Williams among many. Graduate of UC (1976), lover of music, adventure, and all that is the natural world; athlete, visionary renovator, long distance hiker, avid biker, camping enthusiast, and dog walker extraordinaire. In Steve's world, there was never a trail too long, a mountain too high, a hole too deep, or a job too hard. A celebration of Steve's life will be held 5-10 pm, June 16, 2023 at Krippendorf Lodge, Cincinnati Nature Center. Please email [email protected] for celebration details and to share photos.

I went to elementary school with Steve. I do remember he was a great comedian in class but we never crossed paths after elementary but sending my condolences to the family.
