Steven Anderson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 3, 2024.
"Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7

Steven (Steve) Eugene Anderson was a loving and compassionate man, who always had the best stories and always had time for conversation. You always felt loved after spending time with Steve. He had the biggest heart. More than anything, Steve loved his family. He was the proudest father and grandfather.

Steven passed away peacefully at his home on September 28th, 2024, at the age of 69. He was born on October 29th, 1954, to Eugene & Ruby Anderson. He was their only son and was their 2nd child. He loved his two sisters, Beverly and Alice. He loved playfully joking with them and made sure to keep them on their toes! He graduated from Ontario High School in 1972 and then went on to the police academy. Steve served as a police officer for several years before doing what he loved most, cooking and serving others. He reopened his dad's cafe, Anderson's 4th Ave Diner. He loved that cafe and poured his whole heart and soul into it for many years. After his time in the restaurant business, he went on to sell cars prior to retirement.

In 1977, Steve married Beronica Elguezabal. Though this marriage wasn't permanent, they did have two daughters, Maria-Virginia and Stevie Irene, and remained friends throughout his whole life. Steve took pride in his family and was a loving family man, always making time for his girls. He would do anything just to put a smile on their faces. His sense of humor was unmatched, and he had the best smile, it lit up the room! Steve loved the outdoors and always loved hunting and fishing. He loved football, especially Boise State football.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Ruby Anderson and is survived by his daughters Maria Edwards and Stevie (Pedro) Corona; his sisters Beverly (Boyd) Newgen and Alice (Dennis) Horne; his granddaughters, Brooke, Audrey, Kenlee, Ivy, Alyssa, and Mila; his grandson Treyton; his one great grandson, Micah. He will be greatly missed but the love he shared will continue to live on in our memories forever. He is in Heaven with his Lord and Savior. He is free from physical pain and suffering.

Dad, until we see you again. We love you.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Christian Life Fellowship in Ontario, OR.

Steve loved parties and was so happy to visit with each person at the party. He was always very interested in how everyone in your family was doing. Steve was great at remembering who needed extra prayers and would ask for updates and progress for that person. I will forever remember Steve with a big smile!

I remember when he worked at the diner. He and Gene would let me push the button to make the mashed potatos for my dinner

First time I met Steve: in Yuma, Arizona, he fell down Boyd & Bev's camper stairs. I went running and when I got there he said "Look, I didn't spill my drink" with a big smile.
What a Wonderful person. You will be missed Steve. See you again, one day.
