Six months today, we lost Steve. I miss him so much. Each morning when I wake up I still feel like his pain and death was just a bad dream; a few seconds later, the reality sets in and my heart hurts.
Early this morning I walked around my garden and saw these big white hydrangea, still carrying the drops of rain from the storm we had last night like big fresh tears the night shed for the departed.
I let my tears roll down my face for Steves life cut short and the empty space in my life.

Steven Bivens life did not give us the opportunity to make all our dreams true, our illusions, our hopes and future "together forever" as we promised the day we got married! You lost your life fighting hard and you were able to keep all of us together and happy like every day you told me and wrote! I look at our photos and I see your happiness in your smile and that made me proud of myself and it helps me to realize that your last year of life was the happiest one and you received a lot of love you did everything you like, you sailed and enjoyed your trip across the Gulf of Mexico being captain of the ship, we lived close to the sea as you liked and also enjoyed sailing a lot with us, Dayana your light and joy I saw you playing with her as a child making her always happy! And our children as you said Denys and Eric encouraging them always be better in their studies and life and to me my love in this short time that God allowed me to know you, spend time together and be your WIFE made me very happy. Our plans for life and trrips together were quite short, God's willingness was different than ours. You went on a trip to the kingdom of heaven and I am sure that God received you with warm hugs and your mother also received you there! Our lives changed in an instant but I have all our memories and unforgettable experiences engraved in my heart! You didn't want to leave .... it hurts my soul to see you leaving because your heart was not ready to stop beating .... Your prayers and the prayers of thousands of people who joined in prayer for you supported us a lot after all, I am happy to know your mother is there with you, waiting for you with open arms! I love you my love Steven Bivens rest in Peace you will always live in my heart ! My king, my Husband you were a Great Father a Great Grandfather a Great Husband, brother, son, amazing Friend, a good professional and good Human Being. Let's always remember him with love and I ask for his soul to make his soul rest in peace. I love you forever my love ! you wife Cinthia Bivens .

I met Steve in 2002 and got to know him over 17 years.
Steve loved helping people.
He was always there for his family and his friends, always giving his best.
Steve was full of life, very warm, smiling and positive, talking with everyone, making plans and enjoying whatever life had to offer.
Steves life was tough at times and he fought hard and got back on track.
People who got to know him recognized that Steve had something very special about him. He went after what he wanted, overcame odds, stayed on target, relentless and persévèrent and succeeded.
Steve gave his utmost to raise two beautiful daughters as a single dad and to instill values and principles to serve them well for the rest of their lives.
Steve achieved a great professional career in IT, along the way obtaining 30+ professional certifications and always chasing the next challenge.
In personal life, Steve was
adventurous, studying to pilot small engine planes, doing sports, working out, camping, traveling to international destinations, he loved sailing, owned three sailing boats and even got his boat captains license.
To me, the best thing about Steve was his ability to be a great friend, to connect, to chat, to make plans and enjoy doing things together.
I love Steve and I will miss him more than words can say.
