Steven Wayne Brecht

Steven Wayne Brecht, 67, of Pennsville, NJ, born November 30, 1956 went home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2024.

Steven was known for his kind, loving, and sweet nature, as well as his artistic talents. He had a passion for radio, CB radio, playing the guitar, drawing, theology, philosophy, and engaging in political discussions.

In his career, Steven worked with dedication at various places including the 'CAP 2' Team at Walmart in Pennsville, NJ, the Seabrook assembly line (where he was affectionately known as "Poppy"), and was honored to serve the Lord as a Radio Editor for over 500 hours of teachings for Gary Whetstone Worldwide Ministries at Victory Christian Fellowship in New Castle, DE. He also spent time at Radio Shack and a local TV store in Pennsville, NJ, and owned and operated Coffee Host Coffee service.

Steven leaves behind his beloved wife of 27 years, Carol Brecht, his children Charles (and his wife Elizabeth), Elizabeth, Victoria; children by marriage, Cynthia and Frederick; sister, Karen Arendt (and her husband Bob); nieces Elyse and Samantha, and nephew Jack; several grandchildren including, Michael Henderson who lived with him; as well as, great-grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lorraine Brecht.

Steven's family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at a memorial service on May 25th, 2024 at Parkview Assembly of God in Newark, DE. Visitation will be held at 11:30 AM, followed by a Home Going service at 12 PM.

Steven will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will be cherished forever in the hearts of those whose lives he touched. Condolences may be sent to the family at 5 Doe Run Ct. Apt. 4B, Wilmington, DE 19808.
