STEVEN HEARD Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 22, 2010.
Steven Colt Heard 1947 ~ 2010 Our Beloved Papa fought so long and so bravely against ALS, we miss him but are grateful he is at peace. We will never forget his laugh, his smile or his love. Steven leaves behind a family that loves and adores him: his wife Rachel, three children (Kyen, Keifer, and Grace) and many friends and loved ones. He was an Army veteran, a computer professional, and quite a character. A memorial will be held at his home on Saturday, April 24 from 2-5 p.m. Online messages and tributes to Steven's family can be sent at: www.holbrookmortuary.com In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Muscular Dystrophy Association in Steven's name.

I am so sad to hear that Steven Heard passed away. I have know hime since I was born. Him & his wife Linda & Krista Heard were good people to live next to. We always had so much fun on our Disneyland trips, movie nights & sushi dinners. Him, his wife & his only daughter taught me so much. I remeber he was the first person to teach me my telephone number & he taught me not to be afraid. A deep sadness falls apond me that I did not get the chance to say good bye..........

We will always love you Steve. When we brought our baby home from the hospital, we brought him to your home - your office, where you posted pictures of our 2 day old baby. You were a force of nature and the world is just not as great without you in it.
Love you,
Charlotte and Luke

Mom, I miss papa alot and I actually wish I could have been there to say i love you papa. He loved us all, his humor was always here and i wish his humor could still live on. Throughout the time we knew him, he helped me and my siblilngs when we needed it and i may have annoyed him but we all loved him.

Rachel:

I have never witnessed such love between two people as what I observed between you and Steven. I will miss Papa's twinkle in his eye and his unwavering sense of humor in the face of enormous tribulation. He was a great man and we will all mourn his loss.

Saying Steven, aka Papa to many of Us, is going to be Missed is a huge understatement. His passing is leaving a void that may never be filled. He was loved and cherished ...Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
