My sympathies to the family of Steve. I happened upon this simply searching and wondering where life had taken him. We worked together at the bank. I remember Steve exactly as described here: a kind-hearted soul.
I remember at one time discussing his military service and his work on military planes. We were chatting on how high they flew and I'd said well you can't see a lot from up there anyway. And Steve smiling and responding that I'd be surprised at just how much detail they can see down on the earth from up there. I have to wonder if he's seeing all of it from up there now. RIP Steve.

So sad to hear about Steve's death! My heart breaks for you and your sons! I'll always remember visiting you two in Alamogordo, NM and Romeo, many years ago. So fun Steve was! Hopefully we can connect soon Kathy! Our 50th class reunion was last Sunday, I had planned to attend, but got sick the day before. That's how the posting about Steve, on the program. Love Janine

Heartfelt condolences to Kathy, Dan and James. Steve was a remarkable brother-in-law. He will be remembered for always being willing to lend a helping hand and always with a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed by all our family and we are deeply saddened by this sudden loss.
