I was Dr. Steve's firearms instructor.
It took less than 5 minutes to become friends with him.
He brought a different and welcomed perspective to the class.
The world lost a great man.
My prayers go out to Dr. Steve and his family.

I’m so sorry to hear about Dr. Janko. I was one of his first patients at the time that Dr. Markarian retired. Steve was a wonderful and genuine person. My heart goes out to all of his family members and friends. Rest In Peace. In my prayers, Theresa M. Floyd

Kathy, I saw the post on class on 68 facebook page. I remember you as a quiet, lovely and fun classmate and am very sorry for the loss of your husband at an early age. It sounds like you have a large loving family to sustain you. Hope to meet up at the next reunion.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Janko's passing. He made going to the dentist a pleasurable event which is very difficult to do. His sense of humor and dental skills were unmatched. My husband (Alan Kolbe) and I have missed him since he sold his practice. Our condolences to his family. He loved you very much.

Dr. Janko was our family dentist for years. No one ever complained about having an appointment because the whole office was so welcoming and Dr. Janko made the experience fun and funny. Even our granddaughter Looked forward to her visits. We moved to Virginia eleven years ago and our new dentist commented on the dental work done by Dr.Janko, as some of the best he had seen. He was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Sending our deepest sympathy to all.

Steve was my husband's best friend from the time they were 13, long before I met my future husband in college. They always had such fun together, and I, and later our children, were included in that warm circle. He was my friend too, and I will miss him!

I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. My husband was one of his patients for many years and they also bowled and played darts together.
When we got married, I became a patient as well. Steve was such a compassionate and caring dentist and always would have a joke at the ready. I remember him taking care of an emergency for Don on New Year's Day so he wouldn't have to go the weekend in pain. Keeping his family in our thoughts. May his memory be a blessing.

Kathie and Family,

I was deeply saddened to learn of the death of my old friend, Steve. We were colleagues for many years and the dental community has not only lost a wonderful dentist, but a good friend.
All who knew him recognized his dedication to his professioin, his paitents and his family. We are all better for having known Steve. I will miss him professionally, at lunch and on the golf course.
My sincerest condolences.

With all the wonderful things Steve has done for me in the last year, what I will always remember best were the wonderful warm, kind words he wrote to me in our H.S. Yearbook. God bless, Steve. B Positive!
