My family was fortunate enough to have Steve as a neighbor when growing up in Potter Valley. My brother Jeff, and I benefited from spending many hours with Steve while helping him clear his property of brush. Years after I left Potter Valley, I attempted to find him, but was not able. I carry his influence with me to this day. I remember him as a great and generous man.

Father baptized me in Salt Lake City. I don´t remember him but know he was a good man. My parents always told me what a wonderful priest he was and how sad they were when he left. Rest in Peace Father.

I just learned today of the passing of Father Steve. He was a good man and a mentor. Although, I spent many a hour in his chair outside his office at Trinity School. I haven't seen Father Steve since 85 or 86, I spoke with him a few times over the phone, as I entered the world of adulthood and joined the United States Marines. Father Steve inspired me and I believe his discipline and instruction to me, helped form me into the adult I became. I even sent him an invitation to me graduating from Drill Instructor school. Father Steve, you are still a motivational aspect to my life. Even my kids when acting up, sit in a time out chair called the Katsaris Chair. : )
Rest in Peace, Sir.

I am just hearing of Father Steve's passing. He has always been in my thoughts. I worked at Trinity from 1983 to 1996. He was always a good ear, and fine counsel. I am forever grateful that he advocated for, and got funding for me to get my masters degree. He was always there for the children in our care, but also all of the workers from janitors, to kitchen staff, child care workers, to admin. We were all blessed. May he rest in peace.

I worked at Trinity for 8 years. I came there barely an adult, and under Steve's leadership, grew into a much healthier, better person, learned lessons I carry with me to this day. Rest in peace, Father Steve.

I also just learned of Father Stevens passing. For some reason I just never thought of him aging (as all of us do). I worked at Trinity School for 9 years. His guidance, kindness, honesty, and love for others instilled in me a moral calling to work with teens. Always a smile no matter what was going on professionally or personally. I am so glad that I was lucky enough to work at Trinity, let alone work with Steve and the staff he chose to oversee the care of children who were so at risk. Blessing,

Just learned of the passing of Father Steven. I had the privilege of working for Steve for 10 years during the development of Trinity School into a remarkable treatment center for children. Steve was a dedicated clinical professional and spiritual counselor who helped many kids and staff find their way in life. As an administrator he he earned the respect and admiration of many while meeting the challenges of business and politics involved in managing the facility. Some of us know the personal challenges Steve had to deal with and overcome in his personal life. Few would have had the strength, courage, and dedication to endure. We shared many fears and tears during some unbelievable times of loss and grief. When it was time to move on, leaving Trinity was like leaving home. The last time I saw Steve, we just embraced, shed a few tears and Father Steven said Don't look back. Soar like an eagle Father Steven

Anne,
Mary and I just learned of Uncle Steve's passing. We want you to know that we admire You and join the throngs of like minded people who mourn Uncle Steve's passing. My father admired Uncle Steve so much. When discussions would ensue on occasions about the future after mortality takes its toll, he would smile and speak of his Faith. Uncle Steve greatly contributed to that Faith. Uncle Steve's legacy will live on. Blessings to you and the family, Scott and Mary Papas

Anne and family of Dr Katsaris:
I grieve with you at the loss of Dr. Katsaris. This man was one of the finest gentlemen I've know. Words like great human being, man of the earth, outstanding counselor to children and adults alike, I could go on and on.
It is with a joyous heart that I was given the opportunity to know him and a very heavy heart that he is no longer present here on earth.
I hope some of this brings solace and peace to you all.

Anne,
Sorry for your loss. I am glad that I had the chance to speak with Steve a few weeks back. I have always enjoyed talking with him about flying as his passion for being in the air always came through as soon as the subject arose. Our thoughts are with you.
