I was a big Yankee fan in the early 70's. I remember Steve as a solid Yankee pitcher during that time. Did not know he had passed away. Prayers for him...rest in peace.

Heart broken to find this... I was searching for Coach Kline to reach out and tell him what a huge impact he had on my life when he coached me at 16 years old. I´m so sad I was never able to let him know what a positive person he was for me and helped me be a better coach when it was my time.

I was a huge 16 year old Yankee fan in 1972 when Steve had his best year as a Yankee ... i hadn't learned of his passing until this year's old timers game yesterday afternoon when they flashed his name on the list of Yankee family who were no longer with us.

I was so sadened and just wanted to pass onto Steve's family my deepest and most sincere condolences ...

Steve ... may you rest in peace ... never forgotten

Steve and I worked together at Cascade Empire Corp for many many years . His warm and constant smile will be remembered by those he touched. A team player, who always gave his best.
One can not forget the invisible ball/ paper bag trick he often performed in front of wide eyed kids at our company picnics. The kids were mesmerized .

My best to Linda and the family . Steve was special .
He was a friend and colleague , one hard to forget

RIP STEVE

A tough competitor (Oroville-Chelan HS sports), a remembered-his-roots pro baseball player (Yankees), an excellent representative for Chelan, and just a great person to be around...we're all going to miss you so Steve. Best of wishes to your wife and family.

So sorry to hear today of Steve's passing. If time allowed we would have been honored to attend the memorial.
He was a great guy who had a unique ability to connect so well with those he was coaching. He was fun to be around and I was fortunate to assist him on several teams that our son Jason played on with Steve's son Ty. Sure miss going to various sport events with him during the short time he lived in Canby Oregon. Our sincere condolences to Linda, Ty, and Kelli. Jeff and Pam Barrow

I worked with Steve for a couple of years when we were both starting out as lumber brokers. He was a great example, and great human being.
I remember him talking about how important his wife and family were to him.
RIP Steve,

Coach Kline made a long-lasting impact as our pitching coach at Sunset High School during the mid to late 90's. Many of the great baseball memories that my former teammates and I talk about to this day have a distinct Coach Kline flavor.

Thanks for the endless rounds of BP, top-notch coaching, and priceless memories ('99 Metro League Champs)! Rest in peace, Coach.

Steve I am sure you are listening and wishing you were here as do I. Well guess you won't be running for Mayor but you had my support and you would have been a good one supporting the people and their needs. Miss the huge smile that went all the way to your heart, and what a great heart you had for all the people. Will miss those discussions after the City council meetings. You left us some great children. May you rest in PEACE.

I had the honor of playing against Steve in all sports growing up. I was from Cashmere . Although we were rivals, we became friends and even our senior year, Steve asked me to play on Chelans Legend team. We played mostly double headers where he would pitch one game and I'd pitch the other. Great times.
This is a shock when I heard of his passing. I have so many memories that I will always cherish.
Rest in peace my friend

I use to sell Steve lumber when he was in the lumber industry. I really enjoyed talking to him and listening to his baseball stories. He mentioned frequently how he was looking forward to retirement with his wife and family. RIP Steve. You will be missed.
