Steve's love of the Denver area kept him distance-wise a long way from the rest of the family, but never far from our hearts and thoughts. He was my youngest brother and I will miss him dearly.
It was great to meet his friends and I especially want to thank Vance and Ed for being his best friends.

Steve and I were the closest of brothers, inseparable from childhood through adolescense. My life's memories are largely defined and shaped by warm memories of my little brother Steve. His passing has left a huge hole in my life!
A gathering of family and friends was held last Saturday in Denver at the home of Vance Franks, one of Steve's dearest friends. As sad as I am, I cannot express how wonderfully comforting it is to my brothers and me to know that Steve had such warm and loving friends in Denver over these many years.
Vance, I cannot thank you enough for your gracious hospitality and your genuine friendship with Steve over the last 24 years.
Ed, what a heartfelt gesture to agree to keep Steve's dog "Bear". Just what Steve would have wanted, I'm sure.
And thank you ALL for having shared in Steve's happiness.

Steve was one of my friends that not only supported me professionally but personally. I have known Steve since 1986 and has been my friend ever since. Friends like him don't come around often and he will be missed and always in my thoughts. I still can't believe he is gone and he has my promise that I will take good care of his friend Bear. I love you my friend.

I can't believe that Steve is gone. There was so much I wanted to talk to him about and laugh about. I loved Steve's sense of humor and I loved Steve. I will always regret our time apart and I will always miss him.
