Percival, Steven C. left us on the evening of March 31, 2022. He is survived lovingly by his daughter Kaylee. He was a friend and former spouse of Deb, son of Janett, and brother of Marcia (Terry), Bruce, Pam (Andy), Keith, and the late Robert. He was also a very loved uncle, friend, and mentor to many. Steve was an extraordinary human being with a passion for helping others. Steve prided himself on his military service, serving as an MP and Counter Intelligence Agent in the United States Army. Steve belonged to and served several communities composed of a wide variety of people, all who cherished his witty and intelligent presence. He was a graduate of Clarkston High School class of 1981. A memorial visitation will be held April 7, 2022 from 4-8pm at Lewis E. Wint and Son Funeral Home in Clarkston, MI. Burial will be held at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery, in Holly, Michigan. Memorials may be made to North Oakland County Veterans Treatment Court or Elton John AIDS Foundation. Please leave a memory or condolence on Steven's online guestbook below.

When I first arrived at the 300th in 1983 Steve took myself and Eric under his wing from the very beginning. His influence shaped me as a soldier and as a person. We kept in touch regularly over the next 40 years and everytime we talked no matter how long it had been, it was like we just saw each other yesterday. That's how special Steve made you feel. Deb and Kaylee my thoughts and prayers are with you I know how much you both meant to him. When I think of Steve I will never forget that smirk he had when he thought he was being funny. Rest in peace my brother you will not be forgotten.

I knew Steven from the time our families lived next door to each other on Beverly St in Pontiac, he was younger then me but I remember that time. I ran into him several times of the years and he was always the nicest guy you would want to know. I was so sorry to hear he had passed away and my condolences to his family. When I’d run into him in Clarkston he’d always ask how my family was and how my sister was doing. It’s sad that all the good ones seem to pass way to soon. He always looked like Elvis to me and really looked like him in his military photos. God bless him and may God comfort the family as well thru this tough time

Steve was one of the first I met upon arrival in Germany in 1983. He was a good friend, dependable and a lot of fun to be around. He just responded to my retirement announcement. This saddens us a great deal and he will be missed by everyone he met.

Steve will be missed by all. He was a true friend, mentor, encourager, advocate, leader....and the list could go on. I served with Steve in Germany at the 300th M.P. Company and he helped me to transition into the unit and made me better in my responsibilities. His passing will be difficult to understand, and his early departure will be difficult to overcome. Nonetheless, it is these feelings that remind us how lucky we were to have known Steve and the beauty he brought into our lives.

Steve served with me in the United States Army in Germany with the 300th MP Company. We became friends quickly and soon Steve and a couple of other Soldiers (Ray & Jon) all started spending time with me off duty at my German relatives homes throughout Germany. The German side of my family took to Steve very quickly and very much enjoyed his company and smiling face. I left Germany before Steve did and Steve continued to spend time with my German family. Steve and I have remained friends till today. We have met several times since our Military days. Mostly fun visits or Army reunions. On one occasion to lay are dear friend and comrade Ray to rest. I know Steve and Ray have now reunited and are looking down on us. Steve my good friend you may be gone but you are not forgotten. We shall meet again! God Bless!
