NEWMARKET - Steven L. Pettengill, 54, of South Main Street and formerly Durell Woods, died peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at his home.

Born January 30, 1961, in Exeter, he was the son of Jean M. (Brand) Pettengill and the late Albert Pettengill.

He drove tractor-trailer for many years for a variety of companies.

Steven served in youth ministry in Rochester and Newfields.

Survivors include his mother, Jean Pettengill of Newmarket; his beloved, Joan Pettengill; his sisters, Sharon Pettengill of Exeter and Penny Lee Remick of Eliot, Maine; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, June 8th from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter Street, Newmarket, followed by a Memorial Service at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
