Steve was a wonderful friend and colleague as we embarked on our scientific journeys down the hall from each other in the Watson Laboratory at Caltech. I have fond memories of our many long conversations, in grad school and afterwards, about topics ranging from science to sports to cars. We were very sad to learn of his passing and will miss him greatly. Rest in peace.

Steve was a lovely friend at Yale. We knew he was a genius but he was so humble about it that we forgave him for being smarter than everyone else. (And this from someone who took Accounting with him at SOM.) I´ve posted a picture of Steve with Yale friend Jane taken in CA when Steve was in graduate school. (That mustache!) We were all heartbroken to learn of his passing. He was a lovely, lovely person.

Steven and I were friends in elementary school. Here he is attending my 8th birthday party in the back yard of my childhood home. I'm the dork in the red shirt sitting in the front and Steven is standing directly behind me.

Gone too soon. My mind floods with memories watching him grow up - one of three (middle) beautiful and brilliant sons of my cousins. Many meals shared at their house in Great Neck. I spent time discussing his amazing creative computer programming designs on his radio shack computer and his kindness and patience in showing me all the workings - I worked with computers and was in awe of his talent and skill beyond his teenage years. Will always remember this beautiful loving man who was the spitting image of his father Bernie - such a loss. My heart and love go to his Mother, Wife, Son, daughter and brother. Rest in peace and know how much you, your brother Jeff and your Dad will always be missed.
