Steven Shultz

Steven B. Shultz, born on September 9, 1943, passed away surrounded by family, on January 11, 2025, in La Grange, Kentucky. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Catherine Mills Shultz.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Carol Cambron Shultz; his sisters, Billie Bergman (Dave) and Gail Knachel (Paul); his children, Erik Shultz (Carla Dearing) and Rena Parrish (Brian); his cherished grandchildren, Sarah Newmark (Alex), Hayden Shultz (Frankie), Elizabeth Parrish, Sophia Thomas (Parker), and Kimberly Hoo-Chong (Lamar); and his great-grandchildren, Jackson Steven Shultz and Charlotte Newmark.

Steve and Carol shared a remarkable life together, dedicated to their family, close-knit friendships, community service, and a love for international travel. Their dedication to their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought them immense joy and remained a cornerstone of their lives together.

A dedicated community member, Steve served as president of the Oldham County Chamber of Commerce and held board positions with Tri-County Hospital, the American Red Cross, Hope Health Clinic, and the LaGrange Fire Department. Steve's contributions were recognized when he was honored as Oldham Countian of the Year. A committed Rotarian, he served as District Governor and President of the LaGrange Rotary Club. Steve and Carol worked together to build a State Farm Agency, with him as the agent, in La Grange for 43 years until he retired in 2020.

A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, January 27, 2025 at 2pm at the Southeast Christian Church - Crestwood Campus located at 6201 Crestwood Station, Crestwood, KY 40014. A Celebration of Life reception to be held at 3pm, Soiree, 6200 Crestwood Station, Crestwood, KY 40014.

Steve's memory will live on through his enduring impact on his family and community.
