He was a ray of sunshine every time he came into my office. A wonderful patient and was loved by my whole office staff. We are super sad to hear of his passing but the day he started hospice he was happy with his choice.

Steven was a very dear friend of mine. A fellow knucklehead. I will miss Walking into a meeting and upon making eye contact, knowing he was going to get up, give me a hug and tell me he loved me and was glad to see me. Ever since he met me he has always presented me with special medallions each year when I was recognized for my time in recovery. My heart is truly heavy at his passing. I will miss you buddy. Until we meet again. Save me a good seat.

Steven was always very aware of those around him. I never knew a time that Steven didn´t make sure you were given a "Hello" ( in his own way to acknowledge you and a
"Good to see you" to anyone he knew without missing anyone in a room. His most noted catch phrase was " It´s great to be anywhere alive and sober at ( time of day and the day of week it was. Im very sure the big table of many he knew have already
given him a warm welcome home. Steven will always be in the hearts of many, mine included.
Now a little known personal memory is when Steven and some other members helped me move a few vehicles from one address to another. Unfortunately the one Steven helped with had no working battery and needed towed a good hour out. With no running motor, meaning also no A/C, Steven didn´t hesitate to help or be the one
In the vehicle being towed in 90 degree heat at 45 miles an hour. The trip took over 1 1/2 hours at that speed. Never once did he ever complain about it. He´ll never know how grateful I was for his help.

Steven's life was just told with beautiful accuracy. He was one of those aa characters I will never forget. I kinda miss the 330am prayer text messages already lol. I considered Steven a friend and got to work on different projects with him over at sams place. We always had fun. He did a lot of service and will be truly missed. Love you too

My first memory of Steven was laying shingles on a roof at my sisters house back in 2016. I remember talking to him about sobriety and him telling me it was good to be sober at 8:42 (or whatever time it was) in the morning. His presence, kindness, and humor made me feel calm and at peace at the time and it stuck with me. I respected him from then on out. He was a great man, and the recovery community (and everyone else that knew him) will miss him dearly. Love you brother. Rest easy.

My first memory of Steven was working on a roof with him laying shingles early in my sobriety. I remember him talking to me about sobriety and telling me it was good to be sober at 8:42 (or whatever time it was) the morning on a Tuesday. I remember feeling calm and peaceful in his presence. I immediately knew he was a good dude. For all the years afterwards I loved and respected him. The sober community (and everyone that knew him) will miss him dearly. Love you Brother! Rest easy.

When I saw Steve in Greenbelt (around the 1980's) he would always tell me how he was the first to kiss me when i was young (around 9 or 10) while skating at the Youth Center. I would laugh because i don't remember that! But he said it was true.

My dad was one of a kind. He taught me how to grow up and has helped to shape me into who I am today. His sense of humor was unlike any other. He will be missed dearly but his homecoming in heaven with Jesus is celebrated! He did what he wanted, when he wanted, up until the very end. He lived life on his own terms and left life in the same way. Rest easy dad. Love you, Sarah (Boo)
