Steven Lawrence Winkle

So saddened to hear of Steve's death. Don't have the words to say how sorry I am for the family. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

I've known Merl all of my life, but got to know Steve when we were on the same softball team. Almost every time he was up to bat he'd knock the ball out there for a base hit and lots of times for an RBI. He was a very nice and kind gentleman that was always encouraging and supportive of his teammates.

Since our times of playing softball together, we haven't had that much contact in this little cow town, but I am greatly saddened that he is gone from us. Merl, you and the rest of your family will be in our thoughts and prayers especially in the coming days.
