Steven W. ZeilmanA memorial service for Steven W. Zeilman, 60, of Varna will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Winterrowd Funeral Home in Streator, Ill. with the Rev. Scott Fulkerson officiating. Burial will be in Long Point Cemetery with flag folding ceremonies conducted by the Streator Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1492 and the Streator American Legion Post No. 217.Mr. Zeilman passed away Saturday.He was born, Jan. 12, 1949 in Cleburne, Texas to Robert and Frances (Byrd) Zeilman. Mr. Zeilman served in Vietnam in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970. He graduated from Woodland High School in 1967. He was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Joel Glen Zeilman Sr.; a niece, Janet Lee; a nephew, Joel Glen Zeilman Jr.; and a great-nephew.Mr. Zeilman is survived by his father of Varna; children, Terry (Barbara) Zeilman of Henderson, Nev., Daniel (Lin) Zeilman of Palestine, Texas, Kathryn (Mark) Pillash of Piedmont, Ala., William (Karen) Zeilman of Long Point, Michael (Cindy) Zeilman of Springfield, and Karen (David) Berta of Varna; several nieces and nephews who were very special in his life.Serving as honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Mark, Paul, James, Matthew, Lucas, Jeremy, Nicholas Zeilman, Jacob Berta, Joshua Pillash and Matthew McGrath.A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Long Point Fire Department.

To all of the Zeilman family, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. May the Lord grant you comfort and peace. I can't imagine what it's like to lose two family members so close together. May God bless you and keep you in the hollow of His hand.
