Stewart I. "Stew" Sacklow

Sacklow, Stewart I. "Stew" NISKAYUNA Stewart I. "Stew" Sacklow, age 74, of Niskayuna died on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center. Born in Albany, Stew was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of the Albany High School and the University of Western Michigan. Stew was an advertising executive with the Albany Public Markets and vice president of Advertising for Price Chopper. He operated Wolkcas Advertising from 1975 until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of Congregation Ohav Shalom in Albany as well as a member and past president of the Independent Benevolent Society in Albany. Stew was also involved in many organizations associated with his professional career in advertising. Stew was a very generous man and always believed in giving back to the community that was good to him. Survivors include his wife, Harriette Cooperman Sacklow; a son, Ian Sacklow (Cheryl); sisters-in-law, Sandy Mandel and Janet Hiser (Michael). He also leaves several nieces and nephews. Stew was predeceased by his sister, Dolores Suckman (Nathan); as well as his parents, Jacob and Freda Sacklow. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Ave., Albany on Wednesday, April 19, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Independent Benevolent Cemetery on Fuller Road in Albany. Following the service and interment, relatives and friends are invited to a gathering at the Beltrone Living Center, 6 Winners Circle, Colonie.
