Stuart Spafford Obituary
Stuart Joseph "Stu" Spafford JR, 80, originally of Ludlow Massachusetts, son of Stuart and Deloris Spafford, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Born with a spirit of curiosity and dedication, Stu proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy as a Machinist Mate Petty Officer 3rd Class. Following his service, he furthered his education and graduated from Holyoke Community College, carrying with him a love for learning and a commitment to building a meaningful life.
Stu's passions reflected his appreciation for the world around him. Whether out on the water with a fishing pole, behind the lens capturing life's moments through photography, exploring the countryside on his motorcycle, or hunting for treasures among antiques, he found joy in simple yet profound pursuits.
Stuart is survived by his brother, Gilbert Corliss; his sons, Richard Spafford, David Spafford and wife Vickie; his beloved grandchildren, Ronald Spafford and wife Kristina, Regina Spafford, Racheal Spafford, Randall Spafford and wife Jonelle, Allyson Spafford, and Jonathan Spafford; and his great-grandchildren, Ava Daponde, Koda Spafford, and Elliot Spafford.
Services for Stu will be at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam Massachusetts on Thursday October 9, 2025, at 09:00 hours. For those who wish to attend, arrival at 08:50 am is expected.
