Sue Williams Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 23, 2025.
Sue Ellen Williams, of Burlington, passed into her eternal life with Jesus on September 15, 2025. She was born to Darrell and Enola Hay (nee Erickson) on June 16, 1959. She was raised in a happy home with her three sisters in Union Grove.

In June 1976, she married the love of her life, Jerry Williams. Together, they were blessed with two children and celebrated nearly 50 years of marriage. The joy of her life was spending time with her family. She was our greatest comforter, confidant and encourager and her loving influence will be felt for the rest of our lives.

She was an avid outdoorswoman and fellow adventurer with her family on countless canoe trips, camp outs and Up North trips where she enjoyed waterfall hunting, rock picking at Lake Superior, and photographing the beauty around her. In later years, Sue was introduced to the joy of turkey hunting with her father and enthusiastically continued the tradition on many memorable hunts with Jerry.

Sue was a faithful employee of Jensen's Accounting (now Mantych Tax & Accounting) for many years where the clients she served became longtime friends and her coworkers like family.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry, their two children, Jason (Harumi) Williams, and Amy (Jason) Lang, three grandchildren, her sisters, Cheryl Gilbert and Julie Lambrecht. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister Diane Dahl and niece Jessica Lambrecht.

Friends and family are welcome to join together for an informal celebration of life at Bushnell Pavilion, September 28, 2025 from 1-3pm.
