I had the privilege of working with Dr. Suri (then Dr Kaur) at St Barnabas hospital. I am a gastroenterologist and she was the anesthesiologist I often utilized during my 5 year tenure there.
Dr Kaur was a remarkable woman. An excellent anesthesiologist, she had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. That said, she took her role seriously and was a diligent worker. She overcame the prejudices of the time and was one of only a few female physicians to graduate from medical school in India at the time. I truly enjoyed working with her and was sad to hear about her passing.
