Susan Cassie Obituary

Susan Cassie August 13, 1955 - March 2, 2016 Susan Delalona Cassie, aged 55, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long and brave fight against various health issues including Alzheimer's and pneumonia. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary Patricia Cassie and William Ian Cassie. She is survived by her siblings, Dr. Jane Cassie (Dr. Richard Taylor), Ian Cassie (Barbara Sage) and Maureen Dumonceaux (Adrien) and by many nieces and nephews. She was surrounded by love and care by the staff at Neville House operated by the Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion and by the staff at the Community Living Society. Special mention and thanks must go to Barbara, Diane and Ann and all the other staff at Neville House and CLS for their loving care throughout the years. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion. A Celebration of Sue's life will be held from 1 to 3 on March 14, 2016 at BACI located at 2702 Norland Avenue in Burnaby. All are welcome. "He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart;" Isaiah 40:11

My sincere condolences to the family - Susan, or Susanne as I knew her was a wonderful, strong, funny person. Although I hadn't seen her in many years I remember her well and have thought of her often throughout the years. My thoughts and wishes are with you in this time of sadness.
