Susan Anne COADY

After valiant battles against metastasized thyroid cancer, nephrology disease, vascular disease, triple heart bypass surgery, and finally succumbing to congestive heart failure at Peterborough Regional Health Center D2 Palliative Care Unit. Loving wife and best friend of over twenty-one years to Mark, dear sister to Rocco Baldassarra, and special "Aunt Snoozie" to Christian LaSalle. Predeceased by her parents, Giuseppe and Maria Baldassarra (née Di Carlo). Cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, January 9, 2020 at 11 AM at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, 859 Barnardo Avenue, Peterborough, Ontario with Father Stan Witczak celebrating with severe attendance restrictions due to COVID-19 precautions and private family inurnment at a later date at Lakefield Cemetery. I would personally like to thank Dr. Lauren Morelli of Hospice Peterborough and her nursing team, the nursing team of the LHIN (CBI and SE Health) for their care at home over the past year, and the extra special care provided by the D2 Palliative Care Unit at Peterborough Regional Health Center for the final twelve days of Susan's life and especially to RN Jill for ensuring her passing was peaceful and comfortable. You're truly worth your weight in diamonds, Jill! I would also like to thank one of our favourite Priests, Father Damian Smullen, for administering the Sacrament of the Sick while Susan was still alert and appreciative and made Susan ready to meet her God, and her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Peterborough or the D2 Palliative Care Unit at Peterborough Regional Health Center would be greatly appreciated.
