Susan Delville (Dalton Corbin) Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 13, 2025.
Susan (Dalton Corbin) Delville passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, in St. Cloud, MN, after a battle with a long illness.

Born on November 17, 1948, to Isabelle Miley and Raymond Dalton in Albany, NY, Susie had a tumultuous childhood that rewarded her with resilience and a dry sense of humor and quick wit that were envied by many.

She met and married William "Bud" Corbin when she was 18 and escaped New York to move to Minnesota, where she and Bud raised their two children into their teenage years. Susie would then move to Florida to begin a new chapter, where she was so proud to advance from bookkeeper to registered IRS agent, fighting on the side of the people against the behemoth agency.

Her daughter Heather would reunite with her in Florida as an adult, and they bought a house together and had many adventures before Susie met Don (a Canadian) and married again. She officially became a "snow bird" and split her time between Canada and Florida for several years, ultimately remaining in Florida when the marriage ended.

Always a fan of new starts, she moved to Minnesota in 2021 to be closer to her children and grandchildren. In 2022 her health deteriorated, and she moved into assisted living and met her partner, Rod, who became her "Hand and Foot" cards partner and general partner in crime. Despite her declining health, Susie thrived in assisted living until her longtime illness became too much for her to fight.

Preceded in death by her father, she is survived by her loving children, Spencer and Heather, and her grandchildren Alexandra and Isabelle.

Special thanks to her partner Rodney Andersen, for caring for and loving her until the very end.
