Susan Marie Dube`, age 58, of Rochester, MN, died on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Season's Hospice in Rochester, MN, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 9, at 10:00 AM at Church of the Resurrection in Rochester. Visitation will be Friday, August 8 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Church of the Resurrection in Rochester. Father Tom Loomis will officiate and burial will be at a later date.
Susan (Ulfers) Dube` was born September 21, 1949 in Algona, Iowa, the daughter of Charles William and Magdalen (Stoffel) Ulfers. She graduated from high school in Baudette, MN. She graduated from Beauty school in Thief River Falls, MN, and later graduated from Winona State College with a para-professional teaching certificate. She married John Dube` on November 14, 1970 in Immaculate Catholic Church in Faribault, MN. To this union were born two children: Aaron and Holly. During her working career in Rochester she worked at Donaldson's and J.C. Penny hair salons, Buttonwood Nursery School, Learning Tree and Willow Creek Middle School where she taught English as a second language.

She was a member of Church of the Resurrection in Rochester.

She is survived by her husband John, one son: Aaron (Heidi) Dube` of Rochester, MN; one daughter: Holly (Matt) Brown of Oronoco, MN; and two grandchildren: Daniel and Ethan Brown of Oronoco, MN; two brothers: Bill (Lorrie) Ulfers of Red Hook, New York, and James (Sue) Ulfers of Baudette, MN; two sisters: Sister Roselyn of Dubuque, IA, and Carol (Robert) Becsh of McKinney, TX; her step-mother: Anita Lallier of Algona, IA; Foster-mother: Rosie Ballard of Baudette, MN; two step-brothers: Allan (Karen) Ulfers of Des Moines, Iowa, and Dan (Debbie) Ulfers of Westbend, IA; one step-sister: Betty (Joe) Oringer of Ankeny, Iowa; mother-in-law: JoAnn Dube`; five foster-brothers and foster-sisters, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents, foster-father Keith Ballard and father-in-law Wally Dube`.

Rochester Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
