Susan Freen Obituary
An Ontario native, Susie grew up with her younger siblings, Peter (Anne) and Jane, parents, Lorena and Peter, and aunts and uncles. She attended York University where she received a Bachelor of Arts.
Susie was a firecracker, loved by many for her sense of humour and passionate nature. She had a love and talent for design and architecture, and dedicated her time to the arts in Canada, social justice and education. Later in life, she reconnected with her daughter from an earlier relationship, Tracey (Edward), and grandson, Olivier. She loved to travel and was the heart of her family. Though she faced many health obstacles, she had a lust for life that could not be restrained.

Susie was my dear high school friend and it was through her that I met Russ in university. Two wonderful people gone in such a short time. They will be missed.

Caroline and I were shocked to hear that Susie had passed. Our most sincere condolences to Stuart and Michael and the family. It was just so recently that we gathered for Russ' celebration of life. Susie certainly put her all into her life with Russ and cared for him with a fierce compassion during his illness. Her sense of humour, flair with design and style, and indomitable spirit will certainly be missed. May she and Russ find new seas to sail together.
