It brings so much comfort to read the entries here on the guest book. I know my mom was an extraordinary woman and we were so blessed to have her for as long as we did. She was definately different and walked to the beat of her own drum. I think thats why so many people were drawn to her. Although she was not "famous" in the eyes of the world - she was to everyone that knew her. To me - she is now in the same category as Princess Diana or Marilyn Monroe...those who died way before their time. I hope she will be remebered in everyone's daily life as she will be in my family. Just think of her inspiration when you feel you just can't go on, her smile and laughter when you are sad, her tender heart when you need to be tender to others. She is now a true legend and her legacy will live on in the lives of the generations that will follow her lead. Thank you all for your love and support. Thank you for sharng in the life of our mother.

Susan was one of the most motivative people I ever met. Susan was a one of a kind, a pure winner. In fact, during her career she helped many people get their gold in life.
Susan was a wonderful mother. She raised a wonderful family, who are also winners. She help them too find their gold.
In my personal and close relationship with Susan, she helped me find a diamond for myself in communication. After our 42 year relationship, she never once gave up on me, and helped me understand an important lesson in life. I often think if the cliche' that concludes the main lesson she taught me:
You can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?
Susan was awesome at giving advice. I always felt lucky to have a motivational speaker I could call almost anytime. I felt like I had a personal hotline to Tony Robbins, but better, because she was my cousin and she loved me.
I'm not worried about Susan, because she was saved by the blood of Jesus, who paid the price for our sins. Also, she lived a good Christian life, and always repented her sins in prayer and positive actions.
I would like to send my warmest regards to Gary, Shay, Ray, Fay, Kay Little Gary, and Kary. I would also like to give a shout out to all the grandchildren.

Gary, I only met you folks once at the reunion in Union Hill, TN in 2006, but I've been thru what you are going thru now, since my wife died fairly suddenly and unexpected. I'm a cousin of Susan's and will enter your name along with the grandchildren into our cousin prayer circle on the internet. I know Susan was doing something she loved to do, because I ride an Italian Vespa scooter. Although I was hit by a car on my cycle and injured pretty badly, I still ride. Based on the comments I've read about Susan, she is riding in the sky on her new Harley. Again, my sincerist condolences.

Gary, Shae, Rae, Fae, Kae I thought a lot of Susan ever though we had lost touch over the years. I remember when you girls were little and Timmy was at your house more than he was at home. I also remember keeping you as babies when Timmy would go with your Mom and Dad to the river. I know how hard this is for you and my prayers and thoughts are with you all. If I can do anything for you please give me a call or send me an E-mail. I will do what ever I can for you. There is no doubt in my mind that everyone that has crossed paths with Susan loved her. She is watching over you now and will always be with you.

I worked with Susan at Childrens Home Society, seems like ages ago, but Susan always showed me kindness as well as to all she met. She truly went the extra mile for people in need. I don't think I can recall a day she wasn't laughing and smiling. Your entire family is in my prayers at this very difficult time, she truly treasured each and every one of you.

She was the most wonderful person and I am glad to of known and worked with her. She amazed me daily by finding impossible items for those in need. I am sure the Lord is happy to have such a Gift returned to Him. My heart goes out to her family, please know that she spoke of you all the time and loved you. I thank whoever wrote her obituary. It was the most appropriate fitting obituary I have ever read.

Dear Kerry, Greg & family,
LeRoy and I did not know Susan well having met her only once (at your wedding), but she seemed to be a very vibrant, energetic person who liked to spread sunshine. Please lean upon the Lord Jesus for He surely is your strength and support. Celebrate Susan's life and all that she meant to you. Let her memory become sweetness in your lives. If you have not done this already, commit Jeremiah 29:11 to memory -- "I know the thoughts (plans) that I think (have) toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts (plans) of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (hope)." KJV (mine) This verse has sustained us many times over the years. We are sorry we cannot be with you in person during this time, but know that our prayers and thoughts are with you.
