Susan Kohs Obituary
Born on September 29, 1957, in Illinois, Sue was a proud graduate of Proviso West High School. She was a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Elmhurst, where her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life.
Sue cherished time with her family above all else. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Darrick Kohs; her daughter Annamarie Kohs; her son-in-law Paul Jourige Sr.; and her grandsons Paul Jourige Jr. and Joseph Franke III. Her love for her two daughters and two grandsons was unwavering and deeply felt.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Angela Kohs; her sister Connie Berger; and her parents Fred and Lois Berger.
Sue found joy in traveling and discovering new places. Whether attending a lively concert or relaxing on the beach under the sun, she embraced every opportunity to make lasting memories. Her happiest moments were often spent surrounded by loved ones-sharing laughter, stories, and the simple pleasures of life.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church 142 East Third St. Elmhurst.

We are deeply saddened to learn of Sue's passing. While I did not have the privilege of knowing Sue closely, I understand how cherished she was by those around her. My deepest sympathy to the families.
Susan was a good friend of mine for a long time. Even though we haven't seen each other for a while I always kept her in my thoughts and prayers. We had so many wonderful times and memories together and I am greatful for having Susan in my life as a friend. I will miss you deeply and I am so saddened that we didn't get to spend more time together. RIP my dear friend. Love you.
