Susan, I have your reverse glass painting of the artichoke, "To Be Eaten One Leaf at a Time". I´m trying to get it back to your family or your friends. I purchased it at a gallery in New Orleans, but I am in central Florida now. Wherever your spirit is wandering these days, please inspire a loved one to look back at this page and find me.

You were taken from us too soon, but you left these incredible gifts through which you live on. I have enjoyed this painting for over 20 years but I´m getting old now and it´s important to me that your legacy of artwork get back into the right hands at home in NOLA.

Dear Susan, I didnt get to chance to say good-by,but i am glad we said hello...Meeting you was an inspirational experience that no one could ever change. So glad that you were a part of my life... love you always.

Dear Susan:
I am privileged to have witnessed so many of your lives and have applauded so many of your dreams, schemes and accomplishments. You are and were and will always be the positive space in ambitions and accomplishments...nursing, fashion, food, love.

Thank you and Vicki for letting me bake cookies at Coffee and Company and all the other times our lives came together starting at Weinsteins, continuing throughout!

You were always the strongest of us all! And always the "hope"! And still are!

Susan Nash, privileged to have known you and your family!

Susan lived life well. After any encounter with her, you felt buoyant-- her diligence and strength lifted so many souls. She taught me how to stretch my neck after inquiring, "Brandon, why are you hunched over? You look like you're in pain... look do this..."--the greatest caretaker. Now I stand a little taller. Let's care for one another with diligence and strength in Susan's honor.

So sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of Susan all of the years she came into my store as a customer (Werlein's For Music). She was so talented and energetic....always had a beautiful smile and a great attitude.

Susan took care of my sister and I when we were little. I have many fond and cherished memories of her wonderful energy, spirit and kindness. Our families lived around the corner from each other and it seems like just yesterday my mom and I were over at the Landry home on 8th street. Through the years, when I would come back into town I use to love seeing Susan. She always had a warm and loving hug for me and I appreciated our friendship. I wish that I could be there today as you celebrate her life. All of my love to the Landry family and Martha.

From a little girl till just the other day....one of the all time greatest brightest smiles in my life and the real deal of a girl behind them! Blessed to know the child, blessed to know the women if even for only moments in time.

I LOVE YOU my best friend. I miss your grace, dignity, & selflessness, but most of all I'll miss your silliness & the way we used to laugh.
I LOVE YOU my best friend for being there through the tough times always making me feel safe in your presence.
I LOVE YOU my best friend. I will miss the phone calls, the lunches, the fashion advice, and the shopping together, but most of all I'll miss YOU!

I met Susan in 1980 when we both worked at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. We were best friends for the four years that I lived in NO, but eventually lost touch after I moved back to NY. We just reconnected this past year and talked about the cancer that had touched us both. Susan always had such an indomitable spirit, and more good energy than anyone I ever met before or since...truly beautiful inside and out!
My condolences to all that loved her. I know there are many.

Oh Susan! I thought I knew you as an Rn and coworker, but you were into so many things that I now realize I knew but a small portion of the incredibly active and energetic person you have been- quite a busy girl! Your light was so bright and I am lucky to have been able to stand next to you for a while. Deepest heartfelt condolences to Martha and family.

Martha, Paula, Billy, Kai, Andrew and Aunt Vickie,
As one of the "host of cousins", I essentially met Susan (Susie) for the first time and only for a short time this past year. It was evident, even from such a short meeting, that she was a special person.
She stood at my side and just kept saying "I can't believe we finally got to know each other." Susie seemed to look right into my soul to really want to connect! From that meeting, there was no way for me to know the depth of her caring and giving nature, but I did know and feel how special her soul is. I'll miss her without even knowing her as you did. Sincerely, cousin: Edmond (MAGOO) Landry

Paula, Martha, Billy, and Victoria - Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for the loss of Susan. I always admired Susan, for her multiple talents, her energy, and her zest for life. I have a fond memory of a holiday at my nephew's house with Susan, Martha, Paula, and Victoria. It was just a wonderful laid back day, eating and watching movies. Susan will always be in my memories and missed tremendously. Ya'll are in my thoughts and prayers, today and each day after.

Susan had such a strong life force. We met her and Martha in Morroco in 2001. What sticks in my memory was that after a particular rigorous day, Larry (Larry Best) and I were having drinks in our room, Susan came by, saw what we were doing, shouted "party in the guy's room!" and before we knew it, there was a party with most of the tour group attending. I had such a hangover the next day. Martha, since we cannot be there in person, as we live out of state now, we will be with you and Susan in spirit.
