Susan Langille Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Oct. 4 to Oct. 14, 2017.
December 13, 1950 -
September 13, 2017

Susan Wesley Langille passed away peacefully, in her family's loving embrace, on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, to be with all her loved ones who have gone before; though we all know she has not gone far from us. Susan graduated from Mainland High School and lived in Ormond Beach all of her life. She was an LPN at Ormond Memorial Hospital and worked for many years at area banks, retiring as a Branch Manager. For the remainder of her years, Susan worked as a Teacher's Assistant for special needs children. Teaching these children was Susan's calling. She loved her students and fellow educators. Susan was a devoted and loving wife to Martin Langille, "her Marty". They did everything together, creating a happy and harmonious environment for all. Susan was the most kind, generous and loving mother to four children, of whom she was very proud: David Harrell, Robert Langille, Katherine Langille, and Elizabeth Brugone. She was a caring grandmother to Alan Harrell and Anthony Harrell, and Great Grandmother to Leah and Bentley Harrell. Susan provided a "port in every storm" to friends and family and even their pets. She welcomed everyone with open arms. Susan loved nature - spending tranquil moments at her cabin in North Carolina, surrounded by rushing water, rocky creeks, mountain views and hummingbirds. Susan is predeceased by her parents, John and Alice Wesley; father-in-law, George Langille; her brother, Jack Wesley; her sister, Barbara Gilbert; as well as many other beloved. Susan is survived by mother-in-law Dorothy Langille and four sisters; Diana Cooper, Esther Bradshaw, Julia Blackwelder, Laura Edwards; as well as many cherished others. Words cannot express Susan's kindness nor our sorrow in her passing. May the everlasting light and love of God be with Susan now and forevermore until we meet again. A celebration of Susan's life, for family and friends, will be held on Sunday, October 15th from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Bailey Riverbridge Garden, One North Beach Street, Ormond Beach, Florida 32174. Service begins at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, our family requests donations be made in memory of Susan Wesley Langille to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105 (customer service telephone number, 1-866-278-5833).

Susan was the first person I worked with on my first day at Pathways Elementary. She set the pace for all the years that followed. We have missed her since she has been gone from Pathways and I will always remember her kindness toward the "new girl". Love and prayers to all of her family and friends.

To my beloved sister Susan - words cannot express the depth of love I have in my heart and soul for you. I will carry our memories of precious times together, our talks, our laughs and most of all the love you showed me and my children for all the days of my life... until we are together again. I miss you so much but delight in the fact that you are now at peace in the arms of mom and dad, Jack and Barbara and those that have passed before you. Love forever, your little sisto "Wally".
