SIDNEY — Susan Marie Long, 56, of 744 Brooklyn Ave., Sidney, passed away peacefully, Feb. 12, 2015, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, surrounded by her family and friends.
Susan was born Dec. 11, 1958, in St. Mary's, to the late John "Jack" McEvoy and Jeannette (Bendele) Albers, of Celina.
On Jan. 30, 2001, she married Nelson Long, and he survives in Sidney. Also surviving are her stepfather, Norbert Albers, of Celina; children, Luke Smith, of Sidney, Matt Smith, of Botkins, Gretchen Smith, of Sidney; stepchildren, Mercedes Long, of Atlanta, Georgia, Maverick Long of Dayton; brothers, Steve (Dawn) McEvoy, Joe (Doris) McEvoy, of Wapakoneta, Pat (Joni) McEvoy, of Troy, Donnie McEvoy, of St. Marys; sister, Cindy Hepp, of Fort Loramie; and mother-in-law, Katheryn Long, of Sidney.
Susan was a graduate of St. Marys High School class of 1977. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Anna. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her children and friends, walking, living beside the river and watching wild game fly in onto the water.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, with Pastor Carolyn Christman, officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in St. Marys.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon at the funeral home.

So sorry for your loss Luke and Gretchen. Also for Matt whom I've never spoken to. I ran around with your mom in school and was friends with her on Facebook.
