Susan Wilkinson Lundmark

1949-2021/ We love and miss you!

Salt Lake City, Utah—Susan was known by many names. Her favorites were: Mom, Mormor, Farmor, Aunt Sue, and Miss Sue. She had a kind word for everyone she met and was always up for fun. As one of her

grandchildren describes: "If there wasn't anything fun to do, she would make up something fun to do. She would use her imagination."

Her early years were spent riding horses with her father and learning culinary, etiquette, and beauty from her mother. She loved adventuring with her brother Craig and admired her older sister Lynne's grace. She enjoyed talks with her little brother Jeff, and fun activities with her little sister, Jayne.

As a young adult she enjoyed performing with the Virginia Tanner-Children's Dance Theatre (CDT) where the friends she made became a lifelong family. She went on to teach at CDT for decades and recently turned her living room into a studio to teach her grandchildren. Beautiful thank you notes drawn by the small hands of her students adorn her home.

At Brigham Young University, she met her fun-loving match in Ken Lundmark from Sweden. They courted, often long distance, and once they married, were rarely apart. Whether it was watching movies with the kids, riding bikes, or grilling burgers in the canyon, they were always on an adventure together.

Susan not only loved dancing, family, and fun, but she was passionate about serving. Whether it was providing advice and encouragement to her children's friends, serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or serving in the Stockholm Sweden temple, she willingly shared her light. Many recall her encouragement as a catalyst for positive choices in their lives. She was always courageous in following the holy guidance she received and encouraged her children and grandchildren to do the same.

Susan is survived by her husband, Ken Lundmark, children Erik (and Tara) Lundmark, Liv (and Doug) Hale, and Leif (and Jodi) Lundmark, and eight grandchildren. She was an enormous, joyful

part of many lives, and her family will miss her like crazy! They take comfort in knowing she is now in the arms of her loving parents and younger brother. Please join the family to celebrate Susan's life.

Susan was a dear friend over many years. We also lived in the same ward and served together many times. Her love of family and the gospel were obvious to all who knew her. She was so excited to go to Sweden and serve at the temple there. I will always remember her as a gracious, fun and caring woman and a "lady" in every sense. Love you, Susan ,

Leif, Jodi, Ken and family- My thoughts and prayers are all for you right now. Sue is quite possibly the kindest person I know. Since I was just a school-age kid I have thought of how welcome I felt when at her house. When you were around Sue, she just made you feel good. I can't count the number times she let us hang out after school, hosted sleepovers, drove us places. She was a big part of me and my two best buddies growing up, becoming close friends and having so much fun together. A month ago Spence and I flew out to Nebraska to meet up with Leif and spend a few days together. It had been a few years since I had seen her and she was still the same Sue. She greeted us with hugs and food. She even gave me a book that she'd been hanging onto for some time that she wanted me to have. One morning, just before leaving Omaha, I was having breakfast and she sat down for a minute to chat. She shared some memories from working in the Stockholm Temple. I could tell how much temple work meant to her and how sure she was of life after this one. Right now I picture her reunited with her loved ones and I hope you can take some comfort in knowing your separation from her is temporary. She will always be one of those people you think of and can't help but smile.

Sending all our love to Ken and to Leif and the rest of the Lundmark clan. So grateful for the love Sue shared with us rowdy high school/college kids- always opening up her heart and home to us all. She is forever loved and admired. She will forever be a force for good and will always bring a smile to my face when I think of her.

Susan, you sent me a birthday card every year for as long as I can remember, and not one was ever late. I shed a tear thinking about this. As far as actions of kindness, (not just thoughts and prayers) you were number one in our set of five siblings. I only wish I would have told you this before you left us. Rest In Peace my dear sister.

To my beloved "Miss Sue's" family...my love and thoughts are with you today and the days ahead. As you know, Miss Sue was treasured by all of us but especially me. We shared some moments together that will always be stored upon my heart. Her example of grace and sincere thoughtfulness for everyone around her made her a pinnacle of beauty for me to hold up as a "standard of excellence". She is a true treasure! Love, Joni Urry Wilson
