Susan Mallory Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 29, 2017.

Susan Nastasi Mallory, age 61, loving mother of Michael Ryan Mallory (Ashley), Patrick Alan Mallory, and Kristen Mallory Muscarello (Marc) and devoted Granny to Harper June, Karigan Marie and Farrah Jane Mallory and Vance Joseph Muscarello. Loving Sister of Phyllis Nastasi Michon (Vic), Eva Nastasi Maynard and Patricia "Tricia" Nastasi Borne (Jim). Sister-in-law to Lisa and Ben Fiallos; and Mitch E. Mallory.

Aunt and Godmother to Ashley Marie Blanchard and Allie Marie Michon. Aunt of Dana Michon Meyer (Ricky), Timmy Michon, Rachel Blanchard, James Borne, Hannah Borne, Sabrina Fiallos, and Felix Fiallos.

Great Aunt of Abbie, Allie and Matthew Michon; Alex, Corey and Emma Meyers.

Preceded in death by her loving parents, June Ann Demarest Nastasi and Philip Thomas Nastasi, her nephews, Matthew Paul Michon, Scott Philip Blanchard, and her brother-in-law, Victor Michon.

A traveling homemaker for 25 years, her life's path took a change and she came home to Louisiana. Pulling upon all her countless skills, she followed her heart and the advice of a Chinese fortune cookie... "Use your talents that's what they are meant for" and utilized her love of art.

When one door closed, God opened doorways of opportunities, love, friendship, life and adventure. "I wouldn't have changed a thing." - Susan

My prayers and love to Susan's beautiful family. You have been her joy and reason to fight so hard for so long. The services were beautiful and may she enjoy the endless peace and joy of heaven. For all of us, the world is a little less beautiful without Susan.

Heaven has gained a beautiful angel inside and out. She was "my sister from the other mister" as she would say. Such a special friend and confidant. Sure will miss our talks, laughs and tears together throughout the last 46 or so years. Many good memories to cherish. I know you were welcomed home by the Lord and His Mother and many family members who were waiting. You fought a long and hard battle and traveled a painful road, but always with courage, determination and hope. No words can express my sincere thanks for being my friend. As the Lord holds you tightly, my prayer is that He also comforts your family whom you dearly loved, cared for and worried about until the end. "I can only imagine" the beauty and peace you are surrounded with now. Love you always my friend. Sue Evans (Robbie too).

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matthew 25:53
May God comfort your hearts, as I know in mine, she is with our Lord.

What a fighter Susan was !!! Her battle against cancer was a rentless and admirable one. I remember her well from high school - fun and always smiling. May God hold her tightly in His arms and keep an even closer grip on her children. Count on His strength and find comfort in memories of a wonderful and loving mother. She is just a cloud away in Heaven.

Susan was such a kind, loving, devoted and talented lady. She had a tremendously strong faith and was such a joy to be around. I have a "Christmas billboard" which she painted for me that I will treasure forever! God bless you all as you treasure her special memories in your hearts!

No words will comfort your hearts. Your Mom was a beautiful woman, wonderful friend, and her joi de vivre was contagious. She is surrounded by the angels and you will always have the memories you made with her.

Susan, I'll miss you every time I look at Mom's house. I will miss your smiles and your laughter. You were a beautiful and classy lady. Your art talent truly astonished me. You reared a wonderful family. Your children and your "Grands" will be missing your physical presence in their lives, but I know that you will be with them always from your spot in Heaven. (I promise you that we will take good care of Kristen.) Love you, my friend and my family.
