Susan Marshall Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 12, 2023.
Susan Marie Marshall, age 56, of Temecula, CA, passed away on September 18, 2023. She was born on March 29, 1967, in San Bernardino, CA but grew up in Riverside, CA after the age of 4. Susan was a deeply empathetic person who always took it upon herself to help others. She had a wide range of interests and talents. Susan played the piano and clarinet and was a member of the dance team that performed to Michael Jackson's Thriller in the Opening Ceremonies of the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Music and books were Susan's great passions in life. She loved music from every genre and could sing the lyrics to any song that came on the radio. Her favorite artist was Pat Benatar, and she had the opportunity to see her in concert seven times, the most recent being just a few months before her passing. Susan had a talent for writing and had several poems published throughout her life. Her handwriting was like calligraphy, reflecting her artistic nature how she flowed through life.

Susan dedicated most of her career to the medical field, working in many roles but most recently as a pharmacy technician. Her coworkers and patients held her in high regard. She had a strong affinity for heart-shaped objects, bright colors, and crazy patterns, which showcased her unique personality. Susan cherished her family above all else. Although she never had much luck with romantic love, she adored her children and grandchild, who were the center of her world.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Dominique (32), and her granddaughter, Emmalynn, who turned 10 the week after her passing. She is also survived by her son, Austin (26), and her sister, Melinda (54). She was preceded in death by both her mother, Susan Martha Manderscheid (maiden name McGarry), and her father, William Lewis Marshall.

A ceremony to celebrate Susan's life will be held on November 12, 2023, at the Gazebo at Harveston Lake in Temecula, California, at 2:30 in the afternoon. Friends and family are invited to attend to celebrate this remarkable woman who was taken from this world far too soon. Those that cannot attend but would like to share a story or express their sympathy are welcome to reach out to her daughter at (951) 514-6575.

Susan leaves behind a hole that will never be filled, but her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

My first memory of Susan is meeting her at pete´s house and we played this game I don´t really remember how the game was played but some body would get an electrical shock. It was funny.

While helping run a load of dishes at our Menifee house, she mistakenly used dish washing liquid in the machine. The bubbles in the kitchen were epic.
