Susan passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus after a brief illness.
She was a beautiful person inside and out. Susan spent 35 years in the Stow Monroe Falls School Systems where she was a teacher for 18 years and she then served as the principal of Echo Hills Elementary School for 17 years. Her love of children was contagious.
Susan leaves behind her devoted husband, Phil Martucci; her father, Harry Miller; sister, Pam Miller; and her nephews, Matt and Shane Kellams who were special to her.
Susan's mom, Agnes Walsh, and sister, Nancy are waiting for her in heaven as well as her special nephew, Mike Dangle, Mimi and Papa Martucci; aunts, Nancy, Pearl, and Teete, and her stepmother, Dottie.
Susan's cousins, Mary and Nick Adams and their children, Paul and Elinor Ormand, their son, Mark; Julie Ormand; and Bill and Debbie Hunter all held a special place in her heart. Many of her most precious memories were spent with them.
The group of girlfriends that Susan had were a vital part of her world. They include Sally Brubaker, Margie Easterling, Carol Dimauro, Martha Sommers, Deb Milford and Venus Young. Over the years they were always like sisters to her and she loved them all so much.
Sisters and brothers-in-law, Poochie and Tom Dangel, Pattee and Steve Feldstein, brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Diane Martucci as well as their children and grandchildren were also very cherished by Susan.
Calling hours 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd. in Fairlawn. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m., Wednesday April, 27 at St. Hilary Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers consider a donation to VNS Hospice on Ridgewood Rd. or a donation to a scholarship fund being created in her name for the students of the Stow Monroe Falls Schools.

Mrs. Martucci was my 3 rd grade teacher when she taught at Highland Elementry in Stow when I was a student there. I remember her fondly and to her family I am so sorry for your loss. Susan was an amazing person and Educator. With love and my deepest sympathy.

Your Susan and you are in our thoughts and prayers. It was so good to be with you at the calling hours and to honor Susan tonight. Cherie's daughters loved hearing the story on who you are and how important you were in hiring Cherie for her first teaching job in the Stow Schools. Mrs. Martucci was a ray of sunshine as Principal of Echo Hills Elementary School. My entire family (3 kids that went through Echo Hills) had the utmost respect for her. Mrs. Martucci had the amazing ability to remember, and call, each child by their name which is something that I will always remember about her and that which spoke volumes about her character. She truly took the time for and cared about people. She will be greatly missed by all!
