Susan C. McDonald McCoy

Mrs. Susan Coleen "Susie" McDonald McCoy, 55, employee of Tennessee Farmers Mutual Insurance Company and resident of Williamsport Pike, died Monday, October 13, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Jones and William Owens officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Williamsport Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 247, Williamsport, TN, 38487. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Robert C. "Slick" McDonald and June Marie Bryant McDonald. She was a 1972 graduate of Columbia Central High School and had worked as mail clerk at Tennessee Farmers Mutual Insurance Company for the past twenty years. She was a member of Williamsport Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of thirty-seven years, Charles "Amos" McCoy of Columbia; one daughter, Jennifer (Ray) Prince of Williamsport; one son, Jeremy (Tammy) McCoy of Columbia; three grandchildren, Eli McCoy, Greffen Potter, Cameron Prince; and one brother, Mike (Donna) McDonald of Columbia. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Southern and one nephew, Jeff McDonald. Pallbearers will be Charles Grooms, Arnold Grooms, Tony Grooms, Danny Grooms, Roy Grooms, Danny Glenn Grooms, Joe Shelby, and Jason McDonald. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Columbia Fire Department, members of Williamsport Baptist Church and co-workers at the Tennessee Farm Bureau.
